10-10-10 is a workhorse fertilizer, but balanced doesn’t always mean right for every situation. Before applying, it’s worth knowing what your soil actually needs — if you’re already high in phosphorus, adding more won’t help and can cause runoff issues. Application
Apply granules evenly with a broadcast or drop spreader. For lawns, follow label rate recommendations and water in after application. Avoid applying before heavy rain to minimize runoff. Do not over-apply — more is not better with fertilizer, and excessive nitrogen will burn turf.
