The Acors Fredericksburg Blend is our locally crafted grass seed mix, built specifically for lawns in the Fredericksburg area. The blend is 90% Tall Fescue (three improved varieties), 5% Kentucky Bluegrass, and 5% Perennial Ryegrass — every variety selected from the Virginia Tech recommended list for Virginia lawns. With 0% crop seed and 0% weed seed guaranteed, what’s in the bag is exactly what goes in your lawn.

Good to Know
Many big-box grass seed bags contain up to 60% filler — inert material, annual ryegrass, or low-grade varieties that won’t perform season after season. Seeding Rates
6–8 lbs per 1,000 sq ft for new lawns; 4–6 lbs per 1,000 sq ft for overseeding. Germination typically occurs in 7–14 days under proper conditions.
For best results, seed between late August and mid-October. Fall is the ideal window for fescue in the Fredericksburg area — cooler temperatures and reliable moisture give new seed the best chance to establish before winter. Spring seeding is possible but comes with a shorter runway before summer heat sets in.
